Your children’s reading has improved greatly over the course of the year! Your student was given a bundle of books to read over the summer. There are about thirty books. I told the students that if they read 25 of them throughout the summer, I will give them a prize at the beginning of the next school year. After your child reads a book, please have them sign the inside of the book with a parent signature underneath. If they bring them to me during the first week of school, they will receive a prize.
The books are theirs and they are free to color in them, if they wish.
Of course, it would be VERY beneficial if they read much more than the 25 books. Parent encouragement is a great tool in teaching children to read. Please give your student the opportunity to read all that they can over the summer!
